UNITED: MATA EYEING JANUARY EXIT
Manchester United playmaker Juan Mata is prepared to leave the Premier League outfit ahead of the January transfer window in the quest for regular first team football elsewhere. This is according to Manchester Evening News (MEN) journalist Samuel Luckhurstas he stated that Juan Mata is open to the idea of leaving Manchester United next month.The Red Devils secured the signing of Juan Mata from West London giants Chelsea for a fee of £37.1m during the 2014 winter transfer window and he has been at the Theatre of Dreams since then.
English journalist Luckhursttalked about Juan Mata while fielding questions from the fans as he casts doubts on the Spanish international staying at Manchester United beyond next year. He also revealed that the ex-Chelsea and Valencia playmaker would go for a little transfer fee if he leaves Manchester United during the January transfer window. Mata can start to negotiate a free transfer move with clubs outside English football as from January. His Manchester United contract expires next summer after he signed a one-year contract extension last summer. Mata was set to be a free agent before he penned a one-year contract extension.
Since signing for Manchester United from London club Chelsea in January 2014, Juan Mata has an attacking output of 51 goals and 47 assists in 276 appearances.
