Juan Mata has regained his confidence in Old Trafford
Juan Mata made his transition from the Spanish League over to the Premier League in August of 2011 as this was the date when Chelsea signed the talented midfielder from Valencia for a transfer fee of €23.5 million and this switch was a sensational one for Mata as he quickly made an impact upon arriving to Stamford Bridge and during his 3 season stay, Mata was rewarded with 2 successive Chelsea Player of the Year awards due to his outstanding work in the Premier League club.
3 years later and Manchester United snapped him up for a transfer fee of €37.1 million. Former manager David Moyes was the man who spearheaded this signing but at first it appeared to have been an underwhelming signing as Juan Mata struggled trying to make an impact in Old Trafford with mediocre performances and the Spanish midfielder didn’t appear to be the same player that he was back in Chelsea.
It took him some time but Mata has been performing better and better, the talented midfielder has recently revealed that he is getting back in form and has given his thanks to Manchester United for feeling valued in the Premier League club.
“I feel important in the team here, I am playing a lot and I have a lot of confidence’’ Mata told the Spanish media.
Mata is even feeling optimistic about the upcoming challenges involving winning the Champions League title with Manchester United as the Spanish midfielder said that his team have been preparing for what’s to come in the next few weeks and are eager on competing in the European League.
If Juan Mata is indeed returning to his old form and is able to produce the performances that he used to do with Chelsea in Stamford Bridge, this is great news for Manchester United as Louis van Gaal will need all the help he can get if he wants his team to become the new champions of England.
