MATA BELIEVES UNITED CAN WIN UEL THIS SEASON
Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata has insisted that he believes that the side can go all the way in the UEFA Europa League this season and that they have all that it takes to be crowned Champions of the competition. The Red Devils will play against Spanish opponents Granada on Thursday in the second leg of the tie between the two clubs, and they already have one foot in the semi-final after winning the first leg by 2-0 away at Granada.
Juan Mata has now disclosed that the Red Devils are in a very good position at the moment and are also getting ready for the return leg of the tie. He said the players will give everything they can to ensure that they do not end up blowing another shot at winning silverware this season after losing three semi-finals last season.
Although Mata will most likely not take part in the action, he said it is down to the manager to select who will play games but insisted that he would be ready if called upon to come and feature on the pitch.
Should United win the Europa League, it would crown a decent season for the Red Devils as it is looking highly likely that they may finish second in the Premier League behind rivals Manchester City who continue to move closer to clinching the league crown this season.
