MATA NEEDS RESULTS
About 1 month ago David Moyes was given an ultimatum as he had to get positive results in order to avoid getting sacked and even though the Premier League performances of Manchester United have recently been slightly better than earlier in the season, it does not take away the fact that United has been going through a horrendous campaign.
Manchester United was knocked out of every single competition they participated in this season. Earlier in the year Sunderland eliminated the side of Moyes from the Capital One Cup and Swansea City took them out of the FA Cup.
If it hadn’t been for Van Persie, United was not even going to be able to make it past Olympiakos during the Champions League as the former Arsenal player scored a hat-trick which was just enough for Manchester United on advancing into the quarter-finals stages.
It came as no surprise when Bayern Munich came out as the winners when they faced off with United and considering that the squad of Moyes is over 20 points behind the top clubs in the Premier League, their chance of winning the league is impossible.
The Scottish coach Moyes has already announced that he has a watch-list of players that he wants to bring into Old Trafford which includes Marco Reus, Ilkay Gundogan and Miralem Pjanic just to name a few but it will be meaningless for him those kinds of plans if he can’t finish the campaign on a high note and gets sacked even before the summer transfer window opens up.
Sir. Alex Ferguson urged Manchester United fans and the staff members of the club to give Moyes time for him to implant his new formation, playing style to the Premier League club and Clarence Seedorf was the recent coach to voice out his opinion concerning the former coach of Everton and the Dutchman stated that in order for positive results to appear, it needs time but just how much longer does Moyes need in order to get decent results?
